Hearing Vernost's suggestion, he nodded. He headed towards the trees. He walked slow enough not to scare the animals away if there were any there. He knew better than that. And he had to get close enough to catch his prey without over heating. Up ahead, he did spot a medium sized animal. It was large enough to fill everyone's stomachs to last about a day or so.
Scar flicked his tail for Vernost to get in a position to hunt the animal. He glanced over to where Vallion was laying. There was only the small body of the animal Vernost had caught earlier. Scar looked around, but then noticed the animals moving, straight towards him. He crounched waiting. He noticed a younger animal at the back, it was rearing. Scar caught sight of Vallion in front of it. Scar ran for the medium sized Zebra.
He sunk his claws into its flesh. He noticed Vallion still infront of it, probably waited for Vernost to take help him take it down so that he wouldn't have to use a claw. Scar hung on and started pulling downwards on the Zebra, bringing it down.

Scar had lead him off towards the trees. A herd of zebras awaited them. Well they weren't really waiting for them he supposed but they were there before the two cats and that was all that really mattered. A flick from Scar's tail told him to go and get into position. Slinking off to the right he wove through the sparse trees and set himself up to attack one of the largest beasts.
The movement of a golden cat caught his eye. But Scar seemed to be heading the wrong way. Looking it seemed at though Vallion had gotten himself into a mess with a nasty zebra. The two brothers could surely handle that. Why even as he though Scar had pulled the zebra down.
The noise of hooves drew his attention back to the herd. The smell of blood and the screams of the dying animal had drawn the other's attentions. 'No.' Charging he ran into the herd and found a decent sized animal. Vernost's own body was of about the same mass so it would not be hard to bring it down. Leaping he landed on the striped back. Clawing into the sides of the thing he was able to get a good enough hold on it to bite down on its neck. As soon as his jaws were clamped he swung off the zebra; pulling it down with his body weight. It struggled under his grip but had broken a leg in the fall. Putting a massive paw on the zebra's shoulder he removed his teeth from the neck. Again he torn at flesh with his ivories but this time to kill. Ripping out the jugular blood sprayed upon him making his coat a glossy red.
Shortly after the beast died. By then Vernost was already pulling it back to Scar and Vallion. Though he brought it down they were the leaders and had first choice of the meat. Tugging he was able to bring it all the way back to the oasis. Dropping the hide he left them and took a drink of water. Afterwords he licked himself to remove the blood as he waited for his turn.

Vallion soon got up as Vernost was dragging the animal to them. He met him half way, and growled a warning to back away. Vallion was intent on he and Scar eating first. He teared at the large animal. It tasted good for not eating for almost two days. He wanted to eat the whole thing but he was going to make sure that he left enough for Scar. Plus, he needed to build up him strength for the way back home, which would be taking place shortly. Another cat could be taking over their land if they didn't return soon to mark their territory.
------------------------------------
Scra had released his beast that he had intended on killing. He didn't want to risk hurting himself trying to bring down the zebra on his own. He realized Vallion was going to be of no help to bring down the animal. He guessed that his brother had other ideas. He noticed Vernost tugging over a large Zebra. He trotted over to eat. He pushed his brother aside, growled at him and then dug into it. He wanted some and was pretty sure if he didn't get any action in the food, he wouldn't have any but the scraps that were left behind.

Vernost dropped the beast as Vallion came up to him. The leader's ate first, no matter who took down the animal. That was just how it went. Soon Scar had come to feast on the zebra too. Wait Scar was eating this zebra? Why didn't he eat the one he had down.
That's when he seen the other striped horse running in the opposite direction. It had a limp to it and was stumbling. Vernost hated to see anything in that much pain. Picking up speed he raced after it. His long strides and graceful movements enabled him to soon catch up with the stumbling zebra. As he ran beside it the thing tripped and was off balance; a perfect time for him to attack.
Springing he pulled it down by its poll and put a paw on its upper neck. A twist of his head and the spine of the poor beast broke. Again he dragged it back to Scar and Vallion. Plopping the beast down he went to rest beneath the palm again.
Vernost put his head on his paws and closed his eyes. The smell of meat forbid him to sleep even though the rest was needed. Silently he waited his turn to eat.
ooc: ugg, this is so bleh..

Scar and Vallion had soon basically devoured the Zebra. Scar felt so refreshed, he and Vallion had barely eaten since they left their land. They would need to get back soon though. The time was perfect, the storm should be way ahead of them by now. They may have to wait to eat until they get back to Leeu Stad though, so they would have to get as much food in their stomachs as possible.
Vallion signaled to Vernost so he could eat. Vallion made his way infront of Scar and sat. He needed to discuss when they would be heading back home. If only they could have had someone stay there and watch the place. Or maybe they could head by the Market and pick up some more slaves, possibly a female. They would need one soon if they were to continue on their family.
Scar and Vallion talked for some time before deciding what to do. First, they would rest before even moving in any direction. They would have to head home and mark their lands again, before someone else did it for them. From there, they would decide what to do. Scar waited for Vernost to finnish before he told him the plan.
OOC- When are you going to have Wylie come in? Just wondering, that way I can plan ahead a little.

Vallion gave Vernost the signal too eat and he couldn't be more enthusiastic about that. His stomach growled at the thought of his teeth digging into the poor beast. Most of the prime meat was gone but meat remained none the less. Vernost couldn't believe his luck when he seen the beasts head untouched. With one massive stroke of his paw he broke the skull. The brain was one of his favorites for some reason, most animals revulsed at it but he liked it. The meal was not the largest but the flavor was unique and that was all that mattered. Within a matter of minutes he had finished the prime and moved to the haunches where red meat still clung to some of the bone. Ripping at it with large ivories he was able to eat his fill of the zebra. Pulling his head up he licked his lips. A sound caught his ears, almost dog like. Hyenas were closing in on the carcass already. Since the three of them were finished he had no reason to stop them so he wheeled around to face Scar and Vallion. They must have some idea for what they are to do next. A smile was planted on his kissers for the meal had satisfied him and what was to happen next concerned him naught. Perhaps they could pay a visit to the breeding grounds on the way home and have a little fun, that would be nice. ooc: I was planning on introducing Wylie either at the slave markets, the tree, or their territory. You pick.

When Vernost had finnished eating, Scar decided to tell him about the route. "We will be heading back home, to Leeu Stad soon. But we will all need to rest. It is a long way away." Scar noticed Vallion staring at something behind Vernsot. He looked around him, and saw Hyenas tearing at what was left of the zebra. "We should move a little ways off first. I don't want anything surprising us when we are resting." Scar said, pointing to the hyenas with his tail.
Vallion nodded and headed to the other side of the pond that he had previously fallen into when they first arrived here. There was a large tree that was big enough for all of them to lay under, out of the sun. He flicked his tail for Scar and Vernost to follow. He cast one long glance back at the hyenas before walking slowly towards the large tree.
"There is a large tree over there that we can all fit under." Scar explained to Vernost. He liked his slaves to know what was going on, before they happened. He wouldn't like it if he was walking into the unknown.
OOC- Probably their territory would be best. Like maybe Vallion could be out on his own patroling or something, he finds Wylie and sends her out to try and kill Vernost?

Her white paws stepped delicately on the sand. She almost danced to try to stay off of blazing ground as much as possible. Her muscles rippled beneath her black striped, white fur and she flicked an ear as the refreshing scent of water filled the air. She passed a couple trees as she made it onto the shore and immediately ran to the water. She stepped just deep enough into the water to cool her paws then laid down to wet her belly and drank gratefully from the clear water.
She raised her head up, squinting up at the sky in search of any clouds what so ever and discovered none. As she panted her tongue slipped out a bit and she rolled over to coat her back with the cool water with a soft whine of happiness.
It didn't take long for her mind to wander from the heat to her surroundings and she glanced around. Not too far away she could see three other large cats. She righted herself and crouched a bit at the water and continued to drink, keeping her eyes locked on the strangers, and tail flicking slightly.

Vallion lifted his head as he caught the scent of another animal. It smelled like a female. He looked around determinedly. He caught sight of a bright white tiger, much like Vernost, of course, except white. He flicked Scar's shoulder. "Scar." He whispered. "We have a visitor." He pointed his head in the dirrection of the female tiger.
Scar, who had been doxing next to Vallion, barely noticed Vallion's soft touch with his tail. He lifted his head angrily at Vallion. He turned his head to the oncoming tiger that his brother had been talking about. He squinted his eyes so he could see the tiger in the distance better. He kept his eyes locked on the female that was now drinking.
Being bored out of his mind watching this boring old female, Vallion got up. e took a few large steps towards the tiger. He to his brother for back up before turning back around. He took a few more steps before starting to roar. It wasn't an agressive roar, but more of a territorial roar. This tiger had to know that Vallion and Scar were in charge here.
Scar, seeing his brother look back at him for reassurence, walked slowly to his side. He followed his brother, but more smoothly and determined. He too started roaring his territorial roar. He walked confidently at his brother's side. At this point, Scar had forgotten about Vernost. He hoped he would stay put unless needed.

Sasha stopped drinking, swishing her tail to the side before sitting up. She looked them over from a distance. Both were male and the third male hadn't stepped forward. Well, at least the leaders were made prominent. Sasha took in a deep breath, the air more cooling now she was by the water instead of in the middle of the dry heat. Then, Sasha stood, facing the two noisy tigers.
She paced to-wards them, closing in the distance with her claws retracted and stance relaxed to show no threat. She had no wish to end her life this night. As she neared an ear flicked as she let free a quiet laugh and her melodic voice flowed from her tongue. "Well you're big boys aren't you. You're position is registered. I get it." She sat a couple yards from them and dropped her jaw in a toothy smile and flicked her tail. "Very well built." She said admiringly. "So you both are the leaders of your.. " She looked past them to the third large cat and returned her gaze to the other two in front of her. "..group of three. But do you two have your own order of power amongst the two of you?" She flicked an ear. "Just curious. The double power thing doesn't happen too much does it?" She was being very talkative, but she had been alone for way too long that anyone to talk to was a relief.

Vallion suddenly became confused that this female was walking towards them, not away from them. Usually, when they displayed this act of dominence, the animal would run away and not look back, except in the case of a territory battle. He looked to his brother for what to do next. Scar shared Vallion's confusion. He continued walking on, but his yowling died down until he no longer yowled. As they neared the female, she sat down. She was definatly showing herself as no threat. He eased, some but made sure that he did not relax too much. He stood tall and confident. Well you're big boys aren't you. You're position is registered. I get it. "Good." Scar replied simply. They needed her to know that they were in charge.Very well built. So you both are the leaders of your... group of three. But do you two have your own order of power amongst the two of you. Vallion looked at Scar before replying. "Yes. This big brute here," He said, pointing his nose towards Scar, "Is in charge. I am more like a second in command type lion. And then that lazy thing back there is just some cat that we picked up." He looked back at Vernost, then to Scar, who had had his eyes glazed on the tiger. OOC- By the way, Scar and Vallion are lions, not tigers. Vernost, played by perry, is the tiger.

Sasha saw Scar relax a bit and she gave him a sweet smile before returning her gaze to the lion who was talking. "I see." She flicked an ear as she glanced around. "I was planning on resting here for the night but I can understand if you wish me some place else." She tilted her head a bit as she looked at Scar again. He was interesting. She wouldn't mind actually getting to know this lion.
"I've already eaten so you don't have to worry about me hunting nearby." She glanced at the second lion, still not knowing of his name who was the one talking at the time. Her icy blue eyes sparkled a bit as she gave a quiet laugh. It seemed so long since she laughed.
Her tail came around as she sat back in a more relaxed position, and curled around her front paws, flicking softly.

Scar smiled. "I see. I was planning on resting here for the night but I can understand if you wish me some place else." "No, we don't mind do we Vallion?" Scar asked, glaring at his brother. This tiger was usually beautiful. She was also brave for a female. Especially since she was standing up to two feroius, male lions, who were only a few inches larger than herself. "By the way, we forgot to introduce ourselves. My name is Scar, and this is my brother Vallion. That tiger over there is Vernost." Scar said, pointing his tail in the dirrection of Vernost.
Vallion watched her every move. He was alert to what she would try and do next. "What would your name be?" He asked. He glared back at his brother. This may be the first female to be in their small 'pride' if you could call it. He was determined to kepp her with them, no matter what. He looked to his brother. "If you are hungry, we have might have some left over food. I am not sure if all those hyenas ate it or not though." Vallion offered kindly.

As Scar introduced each member of their group she inclined her head to each with something like a small bow. She saw the glares exchanged between Scar and Vallion and pawed at the ground comfortably. She was happy to be allowed in their group. It had been a long time since she'd met anyone. Well, anyone who wouldn't kill her anyways.
She raised her head a little when she looked at Scar for a moment before turning to answer Vallion. "My name is Sasha." It came out as a soft purr as her tail brushed over her paws again. "Thank you for the kindness. I most likely wont hunger for a good many hours. It'd probably be best to let the hyenas be. I'm not looking for fights right now. Just company." She returned her gaze to Scar.
Now she spoke to Scar. "I would like to swim before resting, keep the heat off. Am I pardoned for a bit?" Her head tilted a bit in question as her ears perked forward. She might as well ask permission since she is in the lions' presence.

"My name is Sasha. Thank you for the kindness. I most likely wont hunger for a good many hours. It'd probably be best to let the hyenas be. I'm not looking for fights right now. Just company." "That is a very nice name, Sasha. And it would probably be best to leave those hyenas alone." Scar said.
"I would like to swim before resting, keep the heat off. Am I pardoned for a bit?" "Go ahead and take a dip. The water feels nice doesn't it Vallion?" He said jokeingly. He remebered when he had first pushed him in the water when they first got to this place. It was pretty funny watching Vallion flale around in the water. He flicked the tip of Vallion's ear.
Vallion looked at Scar. "Be quiet over there. And I was just surprised, that's all. I wasn't ready for you to push me in the water." He said defensively. "But the water was quite nice." He said with a nice little smile.
